 Volunteer does hereby release, forever discharge, and hold harmless Feeding People Through Plants NFP, its officers, directors, representatives, volunteers, successors, assigns, and/or any associated third-parties from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, that arise or may hereafter arise from the Volunteer’s activities and/or duties with Feeding People Through Plants NFP. VOLUNTEER UNDERSTANDS THAT THIS AGREEMENT DISCHARGES FEEDING PEOPLE THROUGH PLANTS NFP FROM ANY LIABILITY OR CLAIM WHATSOEVER THAT THE VOLUNTEER MAY HAVE AGAINST FEEDING PEOPLE THROUGH PLANTS NFP WITH RESPECT TO ANY BODILY INJURY, PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE THAT MAY RESULT FROM THE VOLUNTEER’S ACTIVITIES AND/OR DUTIES WITH FEEDING PEOPLE THROUGH PLANTS NFP, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF FEEDING PEOPLE THROUGH PLANTS NFP OR ITS OFFERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SERVANTS, OR OTHERWISE. VOLUNTEER UNDERSTANDS THAT FEEDING PEOPLE THROUGH PLANTS NFP DOES NOT ASSUME ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR OR OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OR OTHER ASSISTANCE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MEDICAL, HEALTH, OR DISABILITY INSURANCE IN THE EVENT OF INJURY OR ILLNESS.
2. Volunteer does hereby release and forever discharge Feeding People Through Plants NFP from any claim whatsoever which arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first aid, treatment, or service rendered in connection with the volunteer’s activities and/or duties with Feeding People Through Plants NFP. 3. Volunteer understands that the activities and/or duties may involve work that may be hazardous or dangerous to the Volunteer, including but not limited to for instance, transportation to and from community camp sites. Volunteer hereby expressly and specifically assumes the risk of injury or harm in the activities and/or duties, and releases Feeding People Through Plants NFP from all liability for injury, illness, death, or property damage resulting from the activities and/or duties. 4. Volunteer understands that it is not an employee of Feeding People Through Plants NFP and will not be paid for participation for volunteer activities and/or duties. As such, Volunteer understands that Feeding People Through Plants NFP may terminate Volunteer’s status at any time, for any or no reason. Volunteer further understands that, except as otherwise agreed to by Feeding People Through Plants NFP in writing, Feeding People Through Plants NFP does not carry or maintain health, medical, workers’ compensation, or disability insurance coverage for any volunteer. 5. Volunteer agrees to comply with Feeding People Through Plants NFP’s volunteer policies, safety rules, and/or other directions. Volunteer understands that Feeding People Through Plants NFP does not tolerate bullying, harassment, threatening behavior, or violence of any kind. Volunteer understands that noncompliance may result in termination of volunteer status. 6. Volunteer understands that during the course of volunteer activities and/or duties, Volunteer may have access to Feeding People Through Plants NFP’s confidential information. Volunteer expressly agrees that at all times during and after Volunteer’s activities and/or duties, to hold any such confidential information in confidence and not to disclose or use such confidential information, except as expressly authorized by Feeding People Through Plants NFP. 7. Volunteer does hereby grant and convey unto Feeding People Through Plants NFP all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images, video, or audio recordings made by the Volunteer or Feeding People Through Plants NFP during the Volunteer’s activities and/or duties with Feeding People Through Plants NFP, including but not limited to any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings. 8. Volunteer expressly agrees that this Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Illinois and, that, this Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to the conflict of laws provisions. Volunteer agrees that in the event that any clause or provision of this Agreement shall be held invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Agreement, which shall continue to be enforceable.
